i believe that we would be better with a parliamentary style government because while the two party system is good it does not focus on certain issues that other smaller parties do. And if we were able to incorporate these smaller parties in it would bring about more change/ideas and it may make it easier for congress to come to agreements because then they would have to take every idea into account instead of ignoring it just because it was put forth from an opposing party.

    Keegan, you believe that smaller parties would create more change, what change do wish to see in our county? Are any of these changes out of the ordinary?

    However, a parliamentary form of government would be less efficient in that it would require compromise between many groups with widely varying values. Any one small group could have the opportunity to stop the other parties, even if there is a clear majority.

    Arturo, doesn't that happen now with the two parties? Are majority needs and values always being upheld? Do they compromise now?

    So do you feel the incorporation of smaller parties is the only way to bring about drastic change to certain issues? or do you mean this system would simply be the fastest way to bring about more change in our government?
