I think that while the supreme court is suppose to be unaffected by politics it is ok that they have different backgrounds on the court to provide the best decision possible because each judge would be able to bring in a different view point on the decision being made.
I agree, i think the diversity on the court is completely positive. The more points of view, the more fair the trail becomes.
