congress districs
I believe that congressmen should live in the district that they represent if it is possible, but if it not possible for them to do that they should live close to their district so that they can still get an idea for what the people of their district want. otherwise the congressmen will lose connection with the needs of their district and could end up casting their vote for something that their district does not approve of.

I agree. Especially if they are representing a poorer district, they should at least have a lot of personal contact with the people they are representing, not stay in their big fancy homes apart from most people when they are not in D.C.
ReplyDeletei agree, congressmen need to have some tie to the community they are representing.
ReplyDeleteCongressmen should have to live in the district they represent. It's ridiculous to think someone can run your district when they don't even live in it. There are other ways of getting a feel for the district (i.e. polling etc.) but the best way to get a feel for the place is to live in the town and see the local politics going on.
